Monty was a sweet, goofy, big-hearted boy who was just shy of 15 years old. He brought nearly 15 years of unconditional love, companionship and happiness into our life, and there will never be enough words to describe what he meant to us.
He was so much more than a dog. He was my best friend, my rock and my constant through some of life’s most difficult chapters. Somehow, he always knew when I was sad and had a special way of making everything feel a little better. His goofy, smiley face, his endlessly wagging tail (which had a habit of knocking absolutely everything off the table!) and his gentle, loving soul will be missed more than words can say.
Monty leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories and a hole in our hearts that will never truly be filled. While saying goodbye is incredibly hard, I find comfort in imagining him running free again, without pain or fear, and being reunited with Cooper.
Thank you for nearly 15 wonderful years, my sweet boy. Gerry and I loved you beyond measure, and you will forever hold a special place in both our hearts.
Run free, Monty. Until we meet again.
