In Loving Memory of Kirby
Kirby was more than a cat. He was comfort in quiet moments, laughter in unexpected ones, and a gentle presence that made every space feel like home. With his soft white and grey fur and sleepy eyes, he brought peace to those around him simply by being near.
Born in 2011 and adopted from the Winnipeg Humane Society in 2012, Kirby became a cherished companion during a new chapter of life. He was the first pet that was truly his Mom's own. He had a bond that grew deeper with every shared nap, every silly moment, and every quiet evening spent together.
Kirby loved the simple joys in life: a warm bath, a pampering session with his favorite brush, and a good meal. He was famously lazy, rising only for the thrill of a laser pointer, the promise of affection or more importantly, food. Guests quickly learned that Kirby didn’t just welcome company, he insisted on being part of it! He would often curl up in their laps as if to say, “You’re family now.”
He leaves behind a loving home filled with memories and hearts that ache in his absence. Mom, Dad, his baby brother Liam, his cat brother Kaiden, and dog brother Apollo will forever hold him close. And those who met Kirby remember the quiet magic he carried.
One memory that still brings smiles is the day Kirby dove into a McDonald’s bag and emerged with a fry container proudly perched on his head. It was a moment of pure Kirby: curious, silly, and completely unbothered.
Kirby was deeply loved. His life was gentle, his spirit kind, and his memory will live on in the warmth he gave so freely. Rest peacefully, sweet boy. You were home to us and always will be. We'll see you again one day.
