Milo

There will never be another like you, Milo….

My sweet boy—my shadow and the world’s happiest dog!  You were so good natured & had endless energy to play (especially with your beloved football). Friendly, loyal, and always by my side… you were everything I could have ever asked for in a dog.

You had the funniest quirks… barking at your own shadow, biting the vacuum and whining whenever we talked on the phone or turned on the hand mixer or opened the oven door. When you sat in the car you always had to have one paw up against the back seat! You loved our adventures on the trails, happily sniffing till your heart was content and the trips to the dog beach at Winnipeg Beach for a swim.  You loved opening presents, car rides, ice cream and most of all, you just loved being with your people.

Fiercely protective, you voiced your disapproval when I so much as attempted to pet another dog!  You shared your home with three cats—one was so friendly you weren’t sure what to do with her, one tolerated you and the other one absolutely did not—but you never stopped trying to win them over.

You were the best four-legged running buddy, even completing 2 half marathons of your own with energy to spare. I’ll miss those excited butt-wiggling greetings at the door, how you tilted your head when we spoke to you and “supervising” me when I worked from home.

The house already feels quieter without you. My heart is broken in a million pieces but I wouldn’t trade a single moment of the life we shared.

Run free, my boy. Rosie will show you the way and Samson is waiting to go for a run. I’ll carry you with me always. To say you will be missed is an understatement.

Love you forever, Milo❤️🐾🦴
